I hope that there are better family run restaurants in the world but I doubt it!
If there are I'm sure that Can Rafa would aspire to emulate and overtake them. Service came with a smile, that was worn not out of obligation but from a pure love of food and the business, and was very informative and friendly. The food itself was both simple and beautiful. Perfectly cooked, seasoned and full of flavour.
It was also great to hear that nothing on the plate had travelled even half as far as I had (100km from Tossa del Mar) to be there. In fact it was all so fresh you'd have imagined that the fish and squid we ate must have just finished hauling themselves up the beach to jump in the pan the moment we arrived.
The best came last, a taster plate of six desserts all of whom now occupy a gold medal position in my mind for their particular categories. Wow and wow again. When the mother can make ice creams and creme Catalan like that it's no wonder that the family are so into food!

Had a delicious meal in this fabulous restaurant, with excellent wine and lovely owners/staff. Thoroughly recommend it!
Went there twice in one day, the food is exceptional and the service is the best, really helpful and attentive staff. Thank you to the staff at Can Roca for your wonderful hospitality!
