The place: This place is a little hidden Jen right next to plaza de España. It is a quaint little Thai place with nice decor. The service: staff is friendly and attentive. They check up on you but are not overbearing. Really sweet and kind waitress named Yani. The food: order the menu de dia for 11.60€. I got a chicken with peanut sauce as my first plate, a cilantro and chili chicken with rice for my second plate, beer to drink. The food had a lot of flavor which was a nice switch from typical bland Spanish food. Comment- I do think it's just a little pricy for the quantity you get. If it was 10€ I would be here more often. But overall good place.

Great food, and the owner is very friendly. He comfortably speaks English and Spanish, and he was super nice both times we ate there. Would happy seek out this place if we ever return to Madrid.

Mind you, we have two completely opposed views of Thai food. First, we live in DC, home of standardized Thai. Every block has a place serving pad thai that tastes just like every other restaurant's version. Second, we have spent the last four weeks in Sevilla eating tapas. No pad thai, no spring rolls, no pad see ew, no yellow curry, our taste buds were dying for a jolt. Enter Madrid, and Siam restaurant. Sure, Siam is pricey by Sevilla standards, and even by DC standards... But what we had charmed us. And the decor is simple but adorable. The minced chicken with cilantro and chili had just the right amount of kick, and was enhanced by diced red onions. It was essentially larb, and it was fantastic. Don't think of the pad thai as pad thai - it's really sweet and sour noodles. If you think of it that way, you will enjoy it. And skip the oily tasteless spring rolls. Yes, some of our enjoyment of this grub came from deprivation, but really, Siam is serving up some perfectly solid Thai grub.
